Thanks for the tip, Mark. Python and R have the highest profile “Intro to Programming” course offerings, so I chose to focus on those for this article. “Big Data” content will for sure be covered in the upcoming articles.
Would you advocate for learning Python and/or R first and then picking up Scala? Or learning Scala first? Does it matter?
